Tool-related Magic Numbers

"Magic Numbers" in this context are strings consisting of alphanumeric characters that are issued when a customer purchases a license for a Common Vision Blox tool.

These Magic Numbers are tool-specific, and at the same time specific to the Common Vision Blox Serial Number for which they have been bought (this is the reason why a Common Vision Blox Serial Number needs to specified when purchasing a tool license).

There are two possible locations where a Tool Magic Number may be stored:

A WIBU CodeMeter dongle
If you purchase a new Common Vision Blox Serial Number in a CodeMeter dongle along with one or more Tool Magic Numbers, STEMMER IMAGING will automatically write those Magic Numbers into the WIBU CodeMeter dongle.

Once plugged in, all the required license information for Common Vision Blox as well as the tool(s) involved will automatically be available.

The File %CVBDATA%\License.ini
If you purchased Tool Magic Numbers for a Node Locked Common Vision Blox Serial Number or for a USB dongle that you already possess, you will receive a text file whose contents can be imported into the License.ini file by means of the CVB License Manager.

At Runtime a tool will verify its Magic Number versus the Common Vision Blox Serial Number(s) in the system.
If a match is made, the tool will run unrestricted.

Otherwise tool-specific limitations (e.g. a reduction in result precision or watermarking of result images) may apply.
Tools that do not rely on watermarking to disrupt unlicensed use will display a message box indicating the restriction(s).
